Looking Forward
I am looking forward to the coming week.
I will be teaching for three days this week, and the children will be participating in the school speech meet. It's fun to see the little ones, especially, say their pieces and take their bows.
I've added a "recitation" period to the 5th grade schoolday--25 minutes of non-stop History and Bible pop-ups, songs, Scripture and poetry recitation, with a little review thrown in. I'm looking forward to seeing if this will free up my remaining class time for more projects and biographies, while helping the students better memorize their chronological orders.
But even more than a short week of school with an entusiastic new focus, I'm looking forward to Matt and Emily's wedding on Saturday. I'm looking forward to being with the entire family (for the first time). I'm looking forward to seeing Peter, Jess, Jude, Ashley and Aravis, Matt and Emily, Ben, Michal and Daniel, Jonathan, and Nathaniel. I'm glad Nate and Thomas will have time together before the crowd descends at the week's end. I'm looking forward to Emily joining our family and Matt joining hers. I'm looking forward to seeing extended family and friends again. I'm looking forward to worshiping at Church of the Good Shepherd.
